The fund is administered by the SECAD partnership. There will be a themed approach to funding. In respect of Year 1 to Year 5, the themes are laid out in the table below:
|
|||||||||||||||
Area of benefit |
The Fund will prioritise applications from local community groups and organisations from within the area of benefit. The area of benefit is the area within 5km of the Wind Farm particularly focusing on the communities of Knocknagoshel and Lyreacrompane. However, applications from outside the AOB may be considered if their project displays significant positive impact/need/opportunity for the communities nearest the Wind Farm. |

Reports |
“We are thoroughly delighted and thankful to receive this funding as it will allow us to expand our school offering increased services to our local community.” 'Knocknagoshel National School is delighted to be a recipient of grant funding from the Dromadda Beg Wind Farm Community Fund. As a result of this funding our school will be able to better facilitate children with additional needs and enhance the learning experience of all children in our school. This sensory unit will be an amazing resource for our school, which wouldn't have been possible without the generous funding of Dromadda Beg Wind Farm.' |
At RWE we recognise our responsibility towards the communities in which we operate. With community investment programmes designed to support sustainable development of communities. This is because developing, building, operating and maintaining a renewable energy project is a long-term commitment to an area.
