Combined-cycle gas turbine power plant

Didcot B is an efficient combined cycle gas power plant powered by natural gas. With a net capacity of 1,440 MW Didcot B can generate enough power to meet the needs of 1 million households.

In 2011, we completed a project worth £60 million in order to increase efficiency of the power plant to more than 55 per cent. This has also resulted in the power plant emitting less CO2 per unit of generated electricity. Didcot B was commissioned in 1997 and is located in Oxfordshire, UK.
