OCGT power plants have the advantage of being able to produce large amounts of electricity very quickly. RWE Generation UK own and operate a fleet of Open Cycle Gas Turbine (OCGT) power stations across the UK.

This includes:

• Didcot OCGT (100 MW)
• Hythe OCGT (53 MW)
• Cheshire (40 MW)
• Derby* OCGT (50 MW)
• Cowes OCGT (140 MW)

and the following Combined Heat and Power plants (CHP) site:

• Phillips CHP/CCGT (58 MW)
• INEOS* (80 MW)

*RWE does not own these sites but operates them on behalf of customer.
