Pen March Onshore Wind Farm

RWE is exploring the potential for a wind farm north-east of Merthyr Tydfil and north-west of the small town of Rhymney.

The site was chosen after initial studies showed the area’s excellent wind resources and good connections to the national electricity network.

Our proposal at a Glance

Number of turbines Up to 7
Tip height Up to 180m
Installed capacity Up to 30MW

Environmental studies are ongoing and as more details emerge they will be shared here as the project develops.
